While many collectors have been impressed by the innovative cases and dials from Louis Moinet, most associate the boutique watchmaker with the use of very fine but largely supplied movements. Company founder Jean-Marie Schaller, however, has been quietly expanding his longtime association with movement maker Concepto, builder of one of the most widely respected tourbillon movements in the industry today. The brand’s new Mecanograph ($14,500), a certified chronometer, is an exclusive collaboration between the two companies.
