[Art] Wall Writers – Graffitti In Its Innocence [Trailer]

In the late 60s and early 70s, graffiti was used to express oneself by inner city youth. Today, you can see graffiti literally everywhere as it rests on city walls, the walls of rural gas stations, trains, and even in museums. At the beginning, the artistic styling was simply thought of as unsightly and today the pioneers of graffiti are hailed as modern artists.

Early graffiti artists Taki 183, Cornbread, Coco 144, Snake 1, Phil T Greek and others have come together in the Roger Gastman docufilm, “Wall Writers,” to discuss the more innocent days of graffiti before gang taggings, street beef and mainstream interests took it over.
