The year 2012 marks quite a few momentous occasions. One, it’s the Chinese zodiac Year of the Dragon. Secondly, it signifies the thirtieth anniversary of Nike’s timeless Air Force One silhouette. Each mean something very special to their respective cultures. The Swoosh has brought the two worlds together in the past for a very special, and limited, Year of the Dragon Air Force One. This Summer saw that shoe take flight and gain noteworthy recognition among sneakerheads. Fall marks the second coming of the Air Force One Low XXX anniversary YOTD.
Inspired by pearls which in Chinese culture represents longevity, the Nike Air Force One XXX YOTD is a clear choice for a strong Fall footwear selection. Boasting an all white leather upper, the sneaker also maintains a reptilian design over a fresh gum bottom. Other details include a pearl colored outline along the Swoosh branding and heel tab coupled with Asian inspired calligraphy on the tongue.
