Chicago is one of the best sports cities in America. In fact, when the Bulls MVP Derrick Rose tore his ACL at the beginning of last year’s NBA Playoffs, it almost seemed as if the city felt his pain. The aftermath, however, has been an inspirational one. adidas basketball and Rose have carefully documented his road to recovery as the city eagerly awaits his comeback to the court. In a new commercial entitled Wake Up, the bond between Rose and his city is clear, as they live and breathe together.
Rose’s new tv spot will air next week in conjunction with the release of the D Rose signature collection and D Rose 3 sneaker on October 4th. The short clip features footage of Rose’s injury and its impact on the city. It then transitions into his rehabilitation and the hard work that goes into his return to the Bulls. Ending in a flash forward, the visual shows Rose walking through the players tunnel to a furious United Center crowd upon his return. Check it out after the break.
