The Sound-Touch app integrates music from any network-linked computer, streams Pandora and Internet radio stations curated by Bose, and also supports Apple Air-Play. Six presets can be programmed and activated with a button on the system itself or via the Bose-issued remote control. The Sound-Touch Controller (which isn’t available yet with the initial October 10 launch) also responds to finger gestures and has an OLED preset preview.
The Sound-Touch 30 ($699) shown here measures approximately 10″ x 17″ x 7″, and is a larger speaker designed for wider living spaces. The Sound-Touch 20 ($399) caters for smaller rooms and measures 7″ x 12″ x 4″, while the Sound-Touch Portable ($399) measures 6″ x 10″ x 3″ and has a built-in rechargeable, lithium-ion battery. Bose will also be introducing a Wave Sound-Touch music system in December and more Sound-Touch products come early 2014.
