Over the weekend, both the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams secured gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The U.S. Men’s team triumphed over France, reclaiming Olympic gold with a decisive victory. Meanwhile, the Women’s team faced a much closer challenge, narrowly defeating France 67-66 to earn their eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal. A’ja Wilson led the women’s team with a standout performance, including 21 points and 13 rebounds, and was named Tournament MVP. Diana Taurasi also made history by securing her sixth Olympic gold, the most in Olympic basketball history​.
